Solar-powered Christmas tree lights up DoE grounds in celebration of the 12,000 homes lighted by AMORE

Twelve thousand lights simultaneously brightened up the evening as the 25-foot solar-powered Christmas tree, erected on the Department of Energy grounds, was switched on against a background of jovial Christmas carols.
On December 18, 2007 AMORE and representatives from some partner organizations – United States Agency for International Development, Philippine Department of Energy, ABS-CBN Foundation E-Media Program, British Embassy – celebrated the 12,000 homes energized by AMORE since the program’s inception in 2002.
