PNOC extends 60% Dutch subsidy for solar PV systems to AMORE households

The Philippine National Oil Company has subsidized AMORE’s electrification of 1,380 households in 46 villages in Mindanao with 55-wattpeak solar home systems.

The subsidy, amounting to 60% of the price of the solar photovoltaic systems, is from the Dutch government, and is being managed by PNOC under its Solar Home Systems Distribution Project.

The subsidized systems were purchased from the project’s vendor, Shell Solar Philippines Corporation, using funds from Mirant Philippines Foundation.

With the systems subsidy, the electrified households enjoy more lighting that gives them more time for productive and social activities and gives their children more time for study.
