DOE earmarks Php7.5M for village hydro electrification projects under AMORE

The Department of Energy is partially funding the AMORE Program’s construction of three microhydro power projects for four off-grid villages in the ARMM.

The funds, amounting to Php7.5 million, will come from the DOE’s locally-funded Remote Area Electrification Subsidy Program.

The villages to be electrified are Karim and Minabay in Buldon; Resa in Datu Blah Sinsuat; and Tubak in Ampatuan, all in Maguindanao province.

The microhydro systems will have a total capacity of 71 kilowatts for household and productive uses.
