Peace and Equity Foundation to fund AMORE's water disinfection project in Sulu

After a successful joint project for a solar-powered drinking water pumping system in Kahikukuk, Banguingui, Sulu, the Peace and Equity Foundation (PEF) and AMORE will once again work together to introduce a simple water disinfection method using safe, odorless, tasteless and low-cost sodium hypochlorite in remote villages in Sulu. The method is based on the technology being used by the Safe Water System Project of the World Health Organization and the Department of Health - Northern Luzon, which AMORE and PEF are piloting in Mindanao. PEF will fund the project while AMORE will train the villagers to implement the method and to adopt sustainability mechanisms.
