Project Components

Renewable- energy-based rural electrification

Initiates improved quality of life in poor, conflict-affected areas in Mindanao that cannot be cost-effectively connected to existing power lines (“off-grid”)

Uses stand-alone energy systems powered by non-global-warming and sustainable renewable energy (RE) from indigenous sources:

  • Photovoltaic battery charging stations
  • Photovoltaic solar home systems
  • Microhydro power (MHP) systems
