JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Database Consultant

Location:    Manila

Reports to: Institutional Development Manager

Period of Engagement:  1 month

Position Summary:

The position will support the development of an integrated database for the Alliance for Mindanao Off-Grid Renewable Energy (AMORE) Project. The position will be based in the AMORE Headquarters in 1501 Jollibee Plaza, Emerald Ave., Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

The Database Consultant’s responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following specific tasks:

  1. Identify data needs of various AMORE units in all clusters, i.e., Programs, Support, and Operations;
  2. Categorize all available data/information/documents according to the data needs identified in #1;
  3. Identify size of database, data tables, information relationships, and other requisites in database development;
  4. Identify coordination points among these units and develop and entity relationship diagram given the needs of the clusters;
  5. Suggest database platform, preferably web-based and open source, but will be respondent to the data requirements;
  6. Develop work program and corresponding budget;
  7. Develop terms of reference for the programmer and procurement requirements for the database structure; and
  8. Other related tasks as may be required.
